Friday Favorites!
Just to keep things interesting, I've decided to do something fun on Fridays! I always love reading about new ideas/products/places on other blogs, so I thought I would give it a whirl myself. Every Friday I am going to write about a few of my current favorite things, some photography related, some not. So, here goes!
1. Epson Stylus Photo R800 Printer I never have my personal photographs printed. Ever. How sad is that? My mom got me a really cool wall display for Christmas, and it just dawned on me last week that it is still sitting in a box because I have not printed a single photo for myself in over a year. So I decided that have a great photo printer at home would encourage me to print more. So after lots of research, I decided on this model and I have to say it has blown me away. Far exceeded my expectations! Digital technology is amazing, but I think we are all guilty of leaving our photos on the computer. So I really encourage you to kick it old school, and actually print your pictures! If you want something a little less pricey than this printer, this model is also great
2. Aveda Outer Peace Mask I found a random sample of this when I was doing some spring cleaning in my bathroom and decided to give it a try. It's super thick and green so it feel very spa-y and it made me skin look and feel great. I think it would be perfect to use to cool down your face after a little too much summer sun.
3. The Deadliest Catch Stick with me, I know this is random. I had never even heard of this show, but on Memorial Day there was a marathon on and my husband and I got totally sucked in! The premise of the show does not sound that interesting, but it so is! The even have a Deadliest Catch Xbox game!
4. Monogrammed Sippy Cups These are just so cute! I discovered them on one of my favorite sites for gifts. In fact one of my favorite Christmas presents came from this store (again, from my mom). I think the Monogrammed Sippy Cup will become my new signature gift for parties and showers!
5. LL Bean Boat and Tote Bag An oldie but a goodie! I have had so many of these over the years, its not even funny. But for some reason, I keep finding reasons to get more! I recently got the extra large bag (and it is gianormous) for toting my stuff to and from shoots. For the price, you absolutely cannot get a cuter or more longer lasting bag!

Now offering....Birth Announcements!
Now if I had been clever, I would have designed some sort of birth announcement to announce the arrival of my new collection of birth announcements. :) But sadly that did not occur to me until just now, and I am just dying to share these with you!
I am just absolutely in LOVE with these! So sweet and simple!

Here is the front:

And you open it up, and this is the inside:

And for those who want to do something different than the standard pastel birth announcement, these are stunning. Very chic and modern. I adore these! (The front is pictured, then the back)

Father's Day Contest
Everyone loves a contest! (Well, I love a contest, and I am hoping you do too!) Here's the deal: in honor of Father's Day, send me your most favorite Father related picture. It can be you and your father, your kids and their father, a random father you saw on the street and snapped a picture of... anything!
Send the pictures to me at brittany@brittanyerwin.com by Friday, June 6. Next week I will post the pictures, and the readers of this blog will vote to determine a winner!
And the winner receives a gift certificate for a free portrait session! Runner up and second runner up also get prizes.
And these do not need to be masterpieces, just your favorite image that makes you smile. And to prove that, here is my favorite Father picture. I only have four legged children, and I happened to catch this moment several years ago with an ancient point and shoot.

Can't wait to see your submissions!

A change of pace!
To wrap up my Memorial Day Weekend Shootfest I met up with Alison and her husband Scott at Piedmont Park for maternity pictures. Scott surprised Alison with a gift certificate for a maternity and a newborn session for their second wedding anniversary. How sweet is that? Alison is just about the cutest mother-to-be that I have ever seen. As always, here are a few of my favorite shots.

Olivia
Olivia and I (and her parents of course) met on Sunday morning for a session at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. Can you believe that after three years of living in Atlanta I had never been to the Botanical Gardens? It's true! The gardens were lovely and a perfect place for pictures.
The only problem was that we were interrupted every five minutes when people would stop, ooh and ahh, and comment on how beautiful Olivia is. :) And they are absolutely right! I had such a hard time deciding which pictures to share with you, but here are a few of my absolute favorites!

I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day Weekend! I had a super relaxing weekend with lots of pool time and lots of light reading (Love the One You're With by Emily Giffin is super cute). And of course, lots of cute babies!
Here are some of my favorites of my buddy Carter!

Sidney
I'm on my way to a shoot, but I wanted to pop in and share a few pictures from a session with sweet little Sidney last weekend.
I just adore this one of Sidney and her mom.

Watch out, Gerber baby! You've got nothing on this cutie.

And with that, I'm out! I have another busy weekend with lots of sessions! Some old friends, some new, and mom-to-be!

Sneak Peak - Caroline
I had a super busy weekend with lots of sessions, and I am doing my best to get them edited. But until then, here is a sneak peak of cute little Caroline!

The Graduates
This weekend, my mom and my sister graduated from Graduate School. My mom got her Masters in Liberal Studies, and my sister got her Masters in Linguistics. After running from graduation to graduation, we met at a scenic part of campus for some pictures. Here are a few of my favorites from the ceremony and from afterwards.

Both my sisters

My sister and her boyfriend.

And not to be left out, here are a few pictures of my littlest sister. :)
